CHOCOLATE CHAI BANANA PROTEIN BARS

INGREDIENTS:
▫️2 cups oat flour (oats blended into flour)
▫️50g + 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder
▫️1 tsp ground cinnamon
▫️2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
▫️1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon Chai-spiced almond butter, divided
▫️4 tbsp almond milk, divided
▫️20g chocolate chips


METHOD:

▫️Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
▫️In a large bowl, add oat flour, protein powder and cinnamon. Stir to combine. ▫️Add mashed the banana, 1/4 nut butter and 3 tbsp milk to the dry ingredients. Stir until a firm dough forms, kneading with your hands if necessary.
▫️Add mixture to the lined baked pan and press down to form into an even layer.
▫️In a small bowl, add chocolate chips and microwave in 30-second intervals until the chocolate is melted, stirring in between.
▫️Add 1 tbsp nut butter, 1 tbsp protein powder and 1 tbsp milk and stir until smooth.
▫️Pour chocolate over the dough in the pan and spread into an even layer.
▫️Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, then cut into 12 bars. Store in refrigerator.
