CHOCOLATE ORANGE OAT BARS
INGREDIENTS:
▪️1 cup dried apricots
▪️1 cup rolled oats
▪️1 cup almonds
▪️1/2 cup pecans
▪️1/3 cup maple syrup (or honey)
▪️100g smooth nut butter (any from our range)
▪️Orange juice + zest from half an orange
▪️chocolate, melted
METHOD:
1. In a food processor add the almonds and blend well.
2. Add the pecans and apricots and blend into small chunks.
3. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and add the oats. Mix well.
4. Add the orange zest, juice, seed or nut butter and maple syrup. Mix well.
5. Transfer the mixture into a pan and flatten out. Cover this with a baking paper.
6. Bake for 15 minutes on 200C and remove the baking paper. Bake for another 15 minutes. Let it cool completely (do not cut or remove from pan) and freeze for 30 minutes.
7. Cut into bars or squares and drizzle with chocolate and orange zest.
